Status Bar
The Status bar runs across the top of every Kindle Fire screen just like the Status bar on your mobile. It shows you important information about your device, such as the time, battery level, and Wi-Fi connection. You may also see notification icons in the Status bar.
Notification Icons
A number in a circle means you have notifications. You can tap on the number to see your notifications. The circle with a line through it also known as the no symbol is a notification icon that indicates that you do not have any notifications.
